About Course

The Level 3 International Award in Emergency First Aid at Work and Use of an AED is a qualification aimed at providing learners with the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills to support emergency first aid in the workplace. 
The qualification covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of a first aider and how to assess and incident. It also covers first aid skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), providing first aid to a casualty who is choking and dealing with external bleeding and shock, and safe use of an AED

​Course Content​​

• Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider

• Be able to assess an incident

• Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally

• Be able to manage a casualty who is not breathing normally and unresponsive

• Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking

• Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding

• Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with minor injuries

• Know how to provide first aid to a casualty who is in shock

 

E-Assessment

• The exam is conducted via Highfield E-assessment and is remotely invigilated online at your home or your workplace.​​
