The Dr. C.V. Raman University is a premier private university of Chhattisgarh. It was established on 3 November 2006 and inaugurated on 14 October 2007. It is situated on 55 acres in the tribal region of Kota, District Bilaspur. Excellent infrastructure is coupled with commitment to education and research.
The University was established under the Niji Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam 2005 and has become a center of scholarly distinction that offers a wide range of programs in engineering, management, arts, sciences, education, law, information technology, and more. Having begun its functions during the 2007–2008 academic session, it has since been accredited by the UGC and has obtained approval from the AICTE, NCTE, and BCI. It also has ISO 9001:2008 certification, is an associate member of the AIU, has achieved NAAC accreditation with an "A" grade, and is ranked in NIRF.
